Many of us are feeling defeated and exhausted from partisan politics. All of us are worried about America’s future but left wondering, “What can we do?”
Join and support Practicing Democracy, a political action committee that helps people engage in the fight for our country.
We need you to help us fight back to strengthen our democracy. We’ve built a strong base of volunteers who are motivated to act.

Organize, educate, and empower groups of volunteers
Create action centers
Engage and educate the public on issues impacting our communities
Assist candidates running for local, state, and federal offices
Our priority is to engage and inform voters.
Practicing Democracy works with existing organizations and brings together new groups of volunteers, providing state- and community-specific resources needed to help engage and inform our neighbors, track elected officials, and assist local candidates.
We can no longer rely on traditional news sources.
The political landscape has changed significantly. Sound bites of misinformation have replaced reputable, factual news. Americans are becoming increasingly non-informed or disengaged. People in our communities unknowingly vote AGAINST the well-being of their families, communities, and country or simply don’t vote.
Face-to-face interaction and personal connection - getting out and talking to people - is the most effective way to engage people and equip even those in the most isolated areas with the resources they need to make informed decisions and participate in our democracy.
Practicing Democracy is a grassroots effort to increase civic engagement and build coalitions empowered to meet our challenges. We’re energized and ready to get started. But we can’t succeed without you. This effort requires funding to build a strong base of volunteers, recruit candidates, and develop the resources needed to engage people.
